About

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is a world famous centre for botanical and mycological knowledge. With two inspiring gardens at Kew in London and Wakehurst in Sussex, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has been charming visitors with the wonder of plant diversity for over 250 years.

The Australian Shakespeare Company and Global Theatre presents exciting productions in Botanical Gardens and other beautiful locations around the world. This summer we are privileged to bring you two of our favourite family productions to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Wakehurst. Firstly, Glenn Elston's adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s ‘The Wind in the Willows’, a production that has brought much joy and delight to audiences in various locations for over 30 years. Our second production is an exciting performance inspired by four of the fairy characters from Shakespeare’s a Midsummer Night’s Dream – Peasblossom, Cobweb, Mustardseed and Moth. This is our newest production, designed to delight our smallest audience members who are encouraged to come along dressed as fairies or elves.
