Back to School Oak Hall Nursing Home in Haslemere is often referred to as being on the site of the former Wispers School However. predating Wispers was Oak Hall School. which was established in 1925 following an extension of the original 1910 building and continued until 1968. Recently we welcomed a group of 'Old Girls from Oak Hall School who held their reunion here. Most had started at the school in 1959 when they were just 10 years old and remained at the school until they were 16. All were full of hilarious anecdotes of life at the Girls Boarding School Grade Il listed in 2010. the house contains a wealth of original period features which have miraculously survived its years as a school and the various rooms were instantly recognisable to the girls: the memories came flooding back. Tours of the home followed coffee and the girls chatted to residents en-route. Going back to school was clearly great fun for the 'Old Girls and we received many wonderful comments following the visit. Thank you so much for the warm welcome you gave to the Oak Hall girls.
